Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Testing and Commissioning Engineer to lead and manage all testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for the Gas Network Project at Jubail 2, Stage-4 Phase-1. This role demands oversight across Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, SCADA, and Firewater systems while maintaining compliance with Royal Commission standards, project specifications, and approved procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising the testing and commissioning processes for multiple systems including:

• 24-inch Fuel Gas (Methane) and 16-inch Feedstock (Ethane) pipelines
• 10-inch FRP firewater network with hydrants
• Scraper launcher systems, drain tanks, and expansion loops
• Electrical components such as LV power, UPS, motor-operated valves, lighting, and grounding systems
• Instrumentation systems including Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Fire and Gas (F&G), leak detection, Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), and SCADA

Additional duties include preparing and implementing commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists, coordinating system integration and functional testing, and ensuring safe gas-in activities. The role also requires effective collaboration with the Royal Commission, Operations, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) teams. Managing punch list clearance, system handovers, and preparing comprehensive commissioning documentation are essential components of this position.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering. A minimum of 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in testing and commissioning for gas pipeline or utility projects is required. The ideal applicant will possess a strong understanding of international codes, industry standards, and safety protocols. Previous exposure to Royal Commission (RC), Saudi Aramco, or similar large-scale industrial projects will be highly regarded.
