Job Overview
Industrial Catering Company is seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Food Safety Officer to join their team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will ensure that food safety standards are rigorously followed to maintain the highest levels of hygiene and compliance within the catering operations.
Key Responsibilities
The Food Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining food safety management systems, conducting audits and inspections, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety standards. This role involves identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, and managing corrective and preventive actions to avoid any food safety issues.
The successful applicant will also deliver food safety training and awareness sessions to staff, promoting a culture of safety and hygiene across all catering activities.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong familiarity with HACCP principles and food hygiene regulations.
- Sound knowledge of ISO standards such as ISO 22000, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001.
- Practical understanding of local food safety regulations, including Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) requirements.
- Expertise in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP).
- Competence in performing food safety audits, compliance checks, and hazard analysis.
- Capability to identify non-conformances and apply corrective and preventive measures effectively.
- Experience in delivering educational sessions related to food safety awareness.
Qualifications and Experience
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Food Science or a related field, along with at least two years of practical experience in food safety. Candidates must hold HACCP certification or Food Safety Level 3 qualification and possess specialized knowledge in allergen management.
Work Conditions and Benefits
The position demands a 10-hour workday and offers a monthly salary of 3500 SAR. Additionally, the company provides food, accommodation, transportation, and medical coverage to employees. This opportunity is open exclusively to candidates holding a transferable Iqama.
