Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled HVAC Engineer to join a reputable contracting company expanding its operations in Al Khobar. The selected engineer will play a crucial role in managing HVAC systems in retail and commercial fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and Saudi regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve HVAC shop drawings, ductwork layouts, and piping schematics to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Perform heat load calculations using HAP or Carrier software to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
• Supervise the installation of DX systems, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), and Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems, maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Lead coordination meetings with Civil, Electrical, and Firefighting teams to address and resolve any design or installation conflicts.
• Ensure all mechanical installations adhere to the Saudi Building Code (SBC), ASHRAE standards, and SEEC regulations.
• Manage Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) processes and prepare systems for final commissioning and client handover.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in HVAC engineering, with a preference for candidates experienced in commercial fit-out or shopping mall projects.
• Active membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is mandatory.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and HAP software is essential; knowledge of Revit (BIM) is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of regional regulations and requirements specific to the Eastern Province commercial market.
• Excellent communication skills in English and strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
