Description
As a Joinery Manager, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and scheduling the factory production department in terms of time, cost, and scope. You will oversee, lead, and empower the production team, acting as the main point of contact for all joinery-related production matters and playing a key role in ensuring quality output from planning through to delivery.
Production Planning & Management
• Develop and manage production schedules aligned with project timelines and delivery requirements
• Plan and allocate resources, manpower, and materials to meet production targets
• Coordinate joinery works with site teams, project managers, and procurement
• Ensure proper sequencing of works to avoid delays and bottlenecks on the factory floor
Technical Oversight
• Oversee the full production process from raw material through to finished joinery items
• Review shop drawings, material specifications, and technical proposals
• Resolve technical issues and provide guidance to production teams
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Team Leadership & Supervision
• Lead and manage Supervisors, Foremen, Carpenters, and factory operatives
• Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure efficient manpower utilization
• Conduct regular production meetings and performance reviews
• Identify training needs and support skill development within the team
Quality, Safety & Compliance
• Ensure all joinery works meet company quality standards and project specifications
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements on the factory floor
• Coordinate inspections and quality checks with project and site teams
• Ensure timely closure of snags and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
Cost Control & Coordination
• Monitor production budgets and control costs within approved limits
• Coordinate with Procurement on material selection, approvals, and timely delivery
• Review production-related variations and change orders
• Provide technical support to the commercial and project teams when required
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, inspections, and output
• Support project close-out and final handover documentation
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Wood Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Joinery or Carpentry production
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role within Carpentry or Joinery
• Strong technical knowledge of joinery production processes, materials, and finishes
• Experience working on GCC projects is preferred
