Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joinery Manager to oversee and manage the factory production department, ensuring timely delivery within budget and meeting quality standards. This role involves coordinating the entire joinery production process from planning to final delivery, while leading a diverse team and maintaining strong collaboration with project managers and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

The Joinery Manager will be responsible for developing efficient production schedules that align with project timelines and resource availability. Allocating manpower, materials, and resources effectively to meet production targets is essential. The role requires close coordination with site teams, procurement departments, and project managers to ensure smooth workflow and avoid production delays.

Technical oversight is critical, including supervising the production process from raw materials to finished joinery products, reviewing shop drawings and material specifications, addressing technical challenges, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and approved specifications.

The Manager will also lead and supervise the factory team, including supervisors, foremen, carpenters, and operatives. Assigning tasks, monitoring productivity, conducting performance reviews, and fostering skill development within the team are key duties.

Maintaining high standards of quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance on the factory floor is a priority. The Manager will coordinate inspections, resolve snags, and ensure timely closure of non-conformance reports.

Managing production budgets, controlling costs, coordinating with procurement on materials, and handling production-related variations will also be part of this role. Additionally, accurate documentation and regular reporting to senior management are required to track progress and support project completion.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Wood Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of practical experience in joinery or carpentry production.
• A minimum of 5 years in a managerial role within the joinery or carpentry sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and production processes.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities with a focus on productivity and quality.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and proficiency in reporting production status and challenges.
• Understanding of relevant standards, local authority requirements, and GCC project experience is highly preferred.
