Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join the engineering and projects team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing mechanical systems to ensure top performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. This role offers involvement in all phases of project execution, including technical evaluation, site supervision, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer’s duties encompass a variety of tasks to support engineering projects and maintenance activities:

• Design mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, piping, fire fighting, and machinery.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities (BOQs).
• Conduct engineering calculations and system sizing to ensure designs meet project requirements.
• Review and approve shop drawings and technical submittals from contractors and suppliers.
• Supervise mechanical installation work on-site, ensuring compliance with design documents and safety protocols.
• Coordinate closely with civil, electrical, and other engineering teams to achieve project goals.
• Participate in project meetings, delivering technical insights and updates.
• Ensure adherence to international codes, standards, and quality control processes through inspections and testing.
• Monitor contractor performance and workmanship quality, resolving technical issues during construction.
• Assist in cost estimation, budgeting, and controlling material usage efficiently to minimize waste.
• Support procurement by performing technical evaluations of suppliers and materials.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and recommend corrective and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Work towards enhancing system efficiency and reliability through continuous improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 to 8 years of relevant experience depending on the candidate’s level.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and standard engineering software applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of international mechanical engineering codes and standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experienced in project coordination and technical documentation.
• Ability to maintain quality control and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills and efficient time management.
