Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to lead comprehensive analytics processes from data extraction and modeling to creating executive dashboards and delivering actionable business insights. This role involves collaborating closely with both business units and leadership teams to convert complex data into informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing large, complex datasets to uncover trends, evaluate risks, and identify growth opportunities. You will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI or Tableau, track key performance indicators, and optimize business metrics.

Responsibilities include writing advanced SQL queries for data extraction and reporting, building and managing ETL pipelines, and developing data models including star schemas and dimension tables. You’ll automate data workflows with Python and Power Automate, perform statistical analysis and forecasting, conduct A/B testing, and ensure data quality through validation and reconciliation across data sources. Additionally, presenting clear insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and mentoring junior analysts are key parts of the role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role, holding a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Technical expertise should include advanced SQL techniques such as joins, window functions, CTEs, stored procedures, and query optimization. Proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau is required, with knowledge of DAX, Power Query, row-level security, and scheduled refresh processes. Experience in Python, primarily with Pandas, NumPy, and visualization libraries like Matplotlib or Seaborn, is essential for automation tasks. Strong Excel skills including Power Pivot, complex formulas, and macros are also necessary. Familiarity with data modeling, dimensional warehousing, ETL concepts, and databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle is expected. Expertise with ETL tools like Informatica or others is a plus.

On the professional side, you should possess strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, clear communication skills, and an ability to convey data stories effectively. Managing stakeholders and translating business requirements into analytics solutions will be crucial, along with demonstrating ownership, keen attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
