A reputable Engineering, Manufacturing, and Automation company in Qatar is urgently seeking skilled professionals to join their team. They are hiring for two critical roles: PLC Engineer and Sales Engineer specializing in Controls and Automation. These positions offer an exciting career path for candidates with solid technical expertise and experience in industrial automation and sales.

PLC Engineer Role

The PLC Engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC systems along with related automation technologies. Ideal candidates will have a background in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation engineering with hands-on experience in industrial automation environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PLC, HMI, SCADA, and VFD configurations to support automation projects
• Interpret and work with electrical drawings and control schematics efficiently
• Implement communication protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP
• Provide prompt troubleshooting and maintenance support for control panels
• Collaborate effectively with project teams to ensure timely delivery and quality

Sales Engineer – Controls & Automation Role

This position focuses on driving sales efforts related to control systems, automation solutions, and building management systems (BMS). The role requires a strong understanding of technical products combined with excellent communication skills to engage with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA systems, BMS architectures, and control panel designs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to identify and meet their automation needs
• Provide technical guidance and support during the sales process
• Prepare quotations and negotiate contracts in coordination with the engineering team

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Instrumentation, or related fields
• PLC Engineer: 2 to 4 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems
• Sales Engineer: 3 to 5 years of experience in sales related to automation, controls, or BMS products
• Proficient with PLC programming, HMI, SCADA, VFDs, and control panels
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and skills to read electrical schematics
• Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English (especially for Sales Engineer)
• Valid Qatar driving licence is mandatory
• Transferable visa and No Objection Certificate (NOC) are required for both positions
