Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Inventory Controller to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in managing inventory within a supermarket setting, especially dealing with a wide range of retail and grocery items. This role requires hands-on experience in both computerized and manual inventory processes, along with strong analytical skills to optimize stock management and minimize losses.

Key Responsibilities

The Inventory Controller will be responsible for overseeing daily inventory activities including receiving goods from numerous suppliers, managing stock levels, and ensuring proper storage and handling of products. Additional duties include coordinating with local and international buyers for sourcing, conducting regular stock audits, and implementing strategies to control pilferage and product expiry. The role also involves repacking items such as dry fruits, lentils, and spices, enhancing stock presentation and shelf life.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Graduate degree required; preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor of Commerce or Supply Chain Management.
• At least five years of experience managing inventory in a supermarket environment in Saudi Arabia, handling up to 15,000 SKUs.
• Proficiency in computerized inventory systems as well as manual record keeping.
• Strong ability to analyze inventory trends and apply data-driven decision making.
• Experience in receiving inventory from 50 to 60 suppliers daily.
• Skilled in stocktaking, resource management, stacking, and expiry control.
• Ability to handle repacking of various dry goods with attention to quality and safety.
• Age between 25 and 35 years.
• Must hold a valid transferable Iqama and Baldia card.
