Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. This pivotal role involves managing overall financial operations, preparing detailed financial reports, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also support the Finance Manager while providing leadership to junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks, including:

• Preparing accurate financial statements and regulatory filings according to relevant standards.
• Overseeing month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure complete and precise financial records.
• Analyzing financial data to identify discrepancies and verify compliance with applicable laws.
• Coordinating with external auditors to facilitate smooth and timely audits.
• Developing detailed budgets and financial plans informed by comprehensive data analysis and market trends.
• Conducting monthly account reconciliations to maintain accurate ledgers and reports.
• Providing financial forecasts and analytical support to influence strategic business decisions.
• Implementing strong financial controls, policies, and procedures to protect assets and improve operational efficiency.
• Assisting in audit preparation and managing internal audit activities to ensure compliance.
• Processing VAT filings in line with Bahrain tax laws.
• Leading the accounting team by delegating tasks effectively and ensuring the quality and timeliness of financial deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or ACCA credentials preferred.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in accounting, including at least two years in a senior accounting role.
• Proficiency with ERP and accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
• Strong financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in financial data management.
