Job Overview

We are seeking a Finance and Accounting Support Specialist for an immediate start on a short-term contract of 2.5 months, with the possibility of extension. This role is essential in managing financial documentation and providing accounting assistance within a fast-paced environment, ideally suited for professionals with a solid background in finance or accounting.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling and verifying backup documents related to production expenses. You will handle the processing and tracking of vendor and crew invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

Supporting the finance team, you will also assist in preparing weekly cost reports to keep track of expenditures. Additional duties include performing bank reconciliations and managing petty cash balances to maintain accurate financial records.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with formulas, filters, pivot tables, and lookup functions.
• Hands-on experience with bookkeeping, accounts payable processes, and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is required.
• Experience working in film or TV production finance is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Arabic language skills are considered a plus.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage tight deadlines and extended working hours effectively.
• Currently based in Qatar with immediate availability to start.
