Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Planning Technician for a one-month contract position in Qatar, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in planning and scheduling maintenance activities using SAP PM and other computerized tools to ensure smooth operations and effective maintenance management.

Key Responsibilities

The Technician will be responsible for using SAP PM to plan and organize maintenance tasks, preparing detailed work packages, and ensuring all necessary materials, spare parts, and manpower are available. Additionally, the role involves supporting the Planning Engineer by maintaining SAP master data and enhancing the accuracy of maintenance information.

Analyzing maintenance history and identifying trends is essential to assist in making informed repair or replacement decisions based on equipment condition and cost efficiency. The role also requires verifying maintenance data, overseeing newly acquired assets, reviewing project uploads in SAP PM, and creating orders for new assets. Converting manual records into computerized data for maintenance planning and preventive maintenance (PM) programs will be a key part of the job.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in maintenance planning.
• Proficient in SAP PM and other computerized planning and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project and maintenance management software.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Solid knowledge of maintenance planning processes and contract administration.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with relevant computer applications and software for maintenance management.
