Job Overview

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Chief Engineer to join our maritime team in Qatar. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, managing all engineering operations onboard vessels equipped with Wärtsilä and Caterpillar machinery.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the entire engineering department, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of all mechanical and electrical systems. Duties include maintenance planning, troubleshooting equipment issues, supervising engineering crew, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 8 years of engineering experience, inclusive of senior-level roles aboard seagoing vessels.
• Strong expertise and hands-on experience with Wärtsilä and Caterpillar engine systems.
• Proven leadership and team management skills within a maritime engineering context.

Required Certifications and Documentation

• Valid Certificates of Competency (CoC) as per maritime regulations.
• Certified STCW certificates with relevant endorsements.
• Up-to-date seafarers’ medical fitness certificates.
• Comprehensive sea-service records demonstrating applicable experience.

Crew Availability

Successful candidates must be available to join the crew in Qatar by mid-January 2027.
