SMASCON, a reputable trading company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Procurement Officer. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in purchasing and supply management, particularly within the construction and industrial materials sectors. This role involves overseeing the procurement process to ensure timely sourcing of quality materials at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, preparing and evaluating requests for quotations (RFQs), comparing supplier offers, and issuing purchase orders aligned with project requirements. Effective negotiation to secure the best terms and prices, as well as coordinating delivery schedules with suppliers to maintain seamless supply chain operations, are essential duties in this role.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience working in a trading company environment is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience purchasing construction and industrial materials.
• Strong ability to identify and evaluate reliable suppliers locally and internationally.
• Competency in preparing RFQs, comparing quotations, and managing purchase orders.
• Good knowledge of market pricing and supplier capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Previous work experience in Saudi Arabia is highly preferred.
