Associated Engineering is urgently seeking an experienced Senior PCS7 Engineer to join their team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on expertise with SIMATIC PCS 7 systems and related automation technologies. This role plays a crucial part in delivering advanced process control solutions and ensuring smooth engineering, commissioning, and integration within industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior PCS7 Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and commissioning PCS 7 systems, ensuring seamless operation and integration across multiple control platforms. The role includes developing and implementing reusable engineering standards, managing operator systems, configuring hardware, and troubleshooting system diagnostics. You will also take on tasks involving scripting automation tools for process control, integrating third-party systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven expertise with SIMATIC PCS 7 version 9.0 or higher
• Thorough knowledge of Engineering System, Operator System, CFC, SFC, as well as hardware and AS/OS engineering for redundancy and diagnostics
• Strong experience working with PCS 7 Advanced Process Library (APL), Process Control Libraries, Industry Libraries, and reusable engineering practices
• Hands-on skills in TIA Portal version 16 or later and proficiency with SIMATIC controllers including S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200, and S7-1500
• Advanced WinCC engineering capabilities covering graphical design, alarms, trends, tag management, scripting, and report generation
• Experience configuring and commissioning SIMATIC BATCH systems including recipes, phases, and reporting
• In-depth understanding of industrial communication protocols such as PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC/OPC UA, HART, PRP, HSR, IEC 61850, Industrial Ethernet
• Familiarity with scripting languages including WinCC Scripts, VBScript, and C Scripts used in automation engineering
