Description
Job Overview
Hyundai Engineering Company Ltd. is urgently expanding its Quality Team for the Jafurah SACE 2 project. We are looking for experienced QC Insulation Inspectors with a strong background working on Saudi Aramco projects. These roles require hands-on expertise in quality control within the oil and gas sector, specifically focusing on insulation and refractory linings.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing the quality of monolithic refractory lining installations. This includes conducting thorough inspections related to installation, testing, and verification of insulation materials. Candidates will coordinate closely with the client, Saudi Aramco, managing inspection activities such as laboratory testing and applicator qualification. Additional duties involve reviewing inspection test plans (ITPs), method statements, and project specifications, preparing quality control documentation, and maintaining detailed inspection logs. The inspector will ensure that calibration and expiry of inspection tools are monitored, review Mechanical Completion dossiers for final client approval, and guarantee timely handover of all quality-related documentation from subcontractors. Safety and operational efficiency must be upheld at all times during inspections.
Requirements and Skills
Applicants should have a minimum of a high school diploma, with a preference for candidates holding a diploma or university degree in a relevant engineering or technical field. Certification as per SAEP 316 is mandatory, with specific qualifications including Hot/Cold Insulation Inspection with Saudi Aramco experience and API 936 (API Refractory) certification highly valued.
It is essential to possess in-depth knowledge of insulation applications, industry-approved inspection techniques, and international standards relating to insulation systems. Understanding material qualification testing and the ability to assess applicator qualifications and as-installed conditions independently is critical. A thorough grasp of safety protocols in refinery environments is required, alongside the capacity to work with minimal supervision.
Experience expectations are rigorous: Senior positions require at least 8 years of inspection experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industries, while junior roles demand a minimum of 5 years. Familiarity with applicable industry standards and strong communication skills in English are necessary for efficient coordination and documentation.
How to Apply
Interested candidates meeting the above criteria are invited to submit their updated CVs along with supporting certifications to the email address: ahmadhechr@gmail.com. Please ensure that all documents are complete and clearly demonstrate eligibility for immediate consideration.
