Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations and Maintenance Manager to lead shutdown and turnaround projects within the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry in Qatar. This role demands a strong professional adept at managing complex project execution, ensuring activities are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while driving continuous improvement across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

The Operations and Maintenance Manager will oversee project implementation by focusing on enhanced profitability and timely completion. Responsibilities include managing contractual obligations, financial planning, and operational aspects related to staffing and equipment utilization. This role requires effective resource management to optimize manpower, materials, and equipment deployment.

Additional duties include preparing budgets, assembling project teams, nominating site managers, and mobilizing key personnel in collaboration with the Business Area Head. The candidate will ensure strict compliance with internationally recognized QHSE standards and promote a culture committed to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

Implementation of project management systems at the site is crucial, ensuring reports are accurately generated to facilitate corrective and preventive actions based on detailed analyses. The manager will inspire continuous improvement by setting individual goals, enhancing performance management, and fostering staff development and motivation.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is mandatory.
• At least 12 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in leading or managing large-scale shutdowns or turnaround projects within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• Proven ability in conducting technical reviews, modifications, and repairs in operational Oil & Gas/Petrochemical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of turnaround and project management principles.
• Demonstrated adherence to QHSE standards and ability to enforce regulatory compliance on site.
• Currently residing in Qatar is a requirement for this position.
