Job Overview
Kalpataru Projects International Ltd is seeking an experienced EPC Project Manager to oversee large-scale cross-country pipeline projects for Saudi Aramco in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role involves managing the complete EPC lifecycle, ensuring projects meet Saudi Aramco’s strict standards while being delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities for major pipeline projects. The role requires close coordination with various stakeholders, rigorous compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, and efficient management of resources across challenging desert terrains. Key duties include overseeing right-of-way management, ensuring quality control during welding, non-destructive testing, hydrotesting, and commissioning phases, as well as supervising valve stations, scraper traps, and tie-in operations.
Required Skills and Experience
- 15 to 20+ years of experience in the oil and gas sector
- At least 10 years of managing EPC cross-country pipeline projects
- Proven track record with Saudi Aramco projects and systems
- Current or previous Aramco Approved Project Manager status (mandatory)
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), Saudi Aramco Materials Specification System (SAMSS), and other Saudi Aramco project management tools
- Experience working with top-tier EPC contractors
- Ability to manage a multinational workforce in remote locations
Project Scope Experience
- Handling large diameter pipelines (24 inches and above), typically extending over 100 kilometers
- Expertise in right-of-way management across desert environments
- Comprehensive oversight of welding, NDT, hydrotesting, and commissioning activities
- Managing valve stations, scraper traps, and pipeline tie-ins effectively
