Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Manager with a strong background in the Food and FMCG sectors to lead manufacturing operations for a well-established group in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in managing greenfield manufacturing projects and driving business expansions from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

This leadership role focuses on defining and executing company strategies including restructuring and identifying new opportunities for growth. The General Manager will oversee market analysis, feasibility studies, and project management to diversify the Group’s portfolio across Food, Beverage, and Chemical manufacturing.

Responsibilities also include setting up new manufacturing plants from scratch, optimizing the manufacturing network to achieve a competitive edge, and ensuring sustainable long-term performance aligned with business goals.

Additionally, you will manage manufacturing planning, oversee sales and marketing activities, conduct strategic reviews, and prioritize business expansion efforts to meet growth and profitability targets.

Maintaining high-quality service standards and cultivating strong relationships with new and existing clients will also be essential to success in this role.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the Food, Beverage, and/or Chemical industries.
  • Proven track record managing greenfield projects and launching new manufacturing facilities.
  • Extensive experience in new business development and market diversification.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills paired with excellent client relationship management.
