Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain electrical systems and infrastructure. This role emphasizes delivering safe, reliable, and efficient power solutions encompassing generation, transmission, distribution, and control systems. The successful candidate will ensure that all projects comply with relevant safety codes and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer will be involved in a range of technical and managerial tasks including:

• Designing electrical circuits, substations, power networks, transformers, switchgear, wiring, and control systems.
• Preparing detailed technical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and specifications using CAD/CAE tools.
• Conducting load, voltage drop, short-circuit, and power-flow calculations and selecting appropriate equipment along with protection devices.
• Evaluating system performance and recommending upgrades while integrating renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, and battery storage.
• Supervising or actively participating in the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
• Troubleshooting faults, diagnosing problems, and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
• Conducting inspections and performance tests to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
• Planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance programs for electrical systems.
• Monitoring power system operations to analyze outages and improve overall reliability.
• Ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations, including NEC/IEC and local codes, and fostering a safe work environment.
• Estimating costs, preparing budgets, and scheduling engineering activities related to electrical systems.
• Coordinating with contractors, engineers, technicians, and other project stakeholders.
• Preparing progress reports, technical documentation, and operation & maintenance manuals.
• Procuring and inspecting electrical materials and equipment to ensure they meet required specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 2 to 5+ years of professional experience working on power systems, utilities, industrial projects, construction, or renewable energy projects.
• Strong background in Building Management Systems (BMS) is essential.
