Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fibre Optic Cable Technician with proven experience in installation, jointing, termination, testing, and maintenance of fibre optic cables for Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) transmission projects. The ideal candidate should be familiar with SEC guidelines and safety standards, particularly in high-voltage and transmission environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, joint, and terminate fibre optic cables in compliance with project specifications.
• Perform fibre splicing, Fibre Splice Trunking Protection (FSTP), and Fibre Optic Main Route (FOMR) installations.
• Conduct OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) testing and troubleshoot fibre optic systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain and service fibre optic cabling infrastructure as required by SEC transmission projects.
• Follow all safety procedures and SEC regulations during project execution.

Required Skills and Experience

• Hands-on experience with fibre optic cable jointing and splicing techniques.
• Knowledge of OTDR testing equipment and diagnostic procedures.
• Strong understanding of SEC safety protocols and project specifications.
• Previous work on high-voltage (HV) and transmission projects is essential.
• SEC-approved or eligible certification is highly preferred.
