Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent specializing in static equipment to lead mechanical operations in Jubail. This role involves overseeing the installation, assembly, and maintenance of key static equipment within the oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will ensure all activities meet stringent safety, quality, and technical standards while managing project timelines and teams.

Key Responsibilities

The Superintendent will supervise mechanical teams responsible for installing and erecting static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and storage tanks. This role requires rigorous inspection and quality control to guarantee compliance with engineering designs and industry specifications. In addition, the Superintendent will plan and carry out maintenance shutdowns, repairs, and turnaround projects efficiently and safely. Coordination of subcontractors, progress reporting, and ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies are critical aspects of this position. Providing technical guidance throughout all phases of equipment installation and service is also expected.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant Technical Diploma, complemented by over 10 years of hands-on experience within greenfield projects, shutdowns, or maintenance activities, predominantly in the oil and gas or hydrocarbon industries. A thorough understanding of industry codes, including API standards (610, 617, 618, 682) and ANSI (B31.3), is essential to effectively execute the role.
