Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Planning Engineer with a strong background in mechanical, chemical, or petroleum engineering. The ideal candidate will bring 5 to 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, particularly within the petrochemical or oil and gas industries. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and hands-on experience managing complex project timelines and plant maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using industry-leading software. They will coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all project phases align with critical deadlines, especially during high-pressure shutdown periods. Additional responsibilities include analyzing plant maintenance plans, managing static and rotating equipment schedules, and interpreting P&ID and PFD documentation to optimize workflow.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling within petrochemical or oil & gas sectors.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 for project scheduling.
• Experience with SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) module to support maintenance planning.
• Strong grasp of Critical Path Method (CPM) for effective project timeline management.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to perform well under pressure, especially during stringent shutdown schedules.
