Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Qatar, specializing in wastewater and drainage systems. This long-term position demands a professional with extensive knowledge and proven expertise in managing drainage networks, ensuring maintenance excellence, and leading contractor teams.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee drainage and sewer network maintenance, including cleaning and repair operations. Responsibilities also include supervising contractors to guarantee compliance with inspections and contractual obligations. You will be expected to analyze and improve preventive maintenance schedules and review tender documents to support project quality. Additionally, investigating flooding incidents, system breakdowns, and service disruptions is a critical part of this role.

Required Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience working with drainage networks.
• At least 3 years of experience managing contractors and leading engineering teams.
• Strong contract management capabilities alongside solid knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards.
• Multidisciplinary background, with prior experience in the Middle East considered a plus.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. Qualifications from North America, Western Europe, or Australia are required. Chartered engineer status or membership with a recognized professional body is advantageous, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and industry standards.
