Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Support Engineer to join our team in Qatar. This role is ideal for someone with a strong engineering background and over five years of expertise in estimation and sales within the oil and gas or industrial machinery sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the sales team by providing technical insight, preparing detailed proposals, and ensuring effective communication between clients, suppliers, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

The Sales Support Engineer will be responsible for reviewing and assessing client inquiries to ensure all technical requirements are understood. Collaborating closely with the Sales Head, the engineer will clarify technical specifications to align proposals with client needs. Coordination with suppliers to gather necessary pricing and product data is essential to prepare accurate tender proposals and bill of quantities (BOQs). Developing competitor comparison sheets will help maintain a competitive edge in the market. Additionally, the engineer will track quotations and sales pipelines, providing updates to the team. Attending client meetings to present product features and answer technical questions is also a key part of this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and have a minimum of five years’ experience in estimation and sales within the oil and gas industry or industrial machinery and tools sectors. Strong technical knowledge combined with excellent communication skills is essential to effectively translate complex product details to clients and stakeholders. A proactive approach to developing and maintaining competitive analysis and client follow-ups will be highly valued.
