Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Building ELV Design Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. This role involves designing and preparing systems for building power, lighting, earthing, and extra-low-voltage (ELV) applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in technical office work and coordination of shop drawings.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing building electrical systems and ELV networks, including fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and structured cabling. You will prepare technical drawings such as load schedules, cable sizing calculations, single-line diagrams, and containment layouts. The role also requires coordinating with suppliers and consultants to review technical documents, assist in testing phases, and support the preparation of as-built drawings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of building electrical calculations, equipment selection, and electrical protection fundamentals.
• Experience coordinating ELV systems and related specialist interfaces.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design software; experience with Revit MEP or Navisworks is a plus.
• Ability to develop clear and concise technical submissions in English.

Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of six years of experience in building electrical and ELV design or equivalent technical office roles. Proven experience in preparing coordinated shop drawings, consultant submissions, and providing technical support on-site is essential.
