Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical / Piping CAD Draftsman to join our team in Kuwait. This role involves preparing detailed equipment layouts, piping plans, sections, isometric drawings, and support details to support engineering projects. This is a great opportunity for candidates with a solid background in mechanical and piping drafting to contribute to process plants, pumping systems, or fabricated skid projects.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for updating piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and skid drawings based on approved engineering data. You will also extract material quantities, coordinate equipment access, and ensure proper installation clearances. Incorporating changes from suppliers and site teams and preparing controlled as-built drawing packages will be an essential part of your daily tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should hold a diploma in mechanical engineering, piping, or technical drafting. Proficiency in AutoCAD and piping/isometric drafting is essential, along with the ability to identify components and perform accurate material take-offs. You must be able to read and interpret P&IDs and engineering instructions in English confidently. Experience with Plant 3D or SolidWorks is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

Applicants must have at least four years of hands-on experience in mechanical or piping drafting. Experience with process plant layouts, pumping systems, and fabricated skids is particularly important. Demonstrable skills in producing isometric and equipment layout drawings will set you apart.
