Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Proposal and Estimation Engineer with expertise in water, telecom, instrumentation, and control systems. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, estimating project costs, and coordinating technical and commercial inputs to prepare competitive and comprehensive proposals. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong engineering background and a minimum of six years experience in multidiscipline tender coordination.

Key Responsibilities

As a Proposal and Estimation Engineer, your main duties will include:

• Reviewing tender specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities to develop scope and compliance matrices.
• Collaborating with discipline specialists to estimate costs related to equipment, engineering, installation, testing, and ongoing operation and maintenance.
• Coordinating technical clarifications and obtaining supplier quotations via the Supply Chain team.
• Preparing detailed technical proposals, cost summaries, assumptions, exclusions, and ensuring proper documentation for tender submissions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong experience in package estimating, detailed cost build-ups, advanced Excel proficiency, technical writing, and scope review.
• Ability to interpret process flow diagrams, control system architectures, and integrate specialist contributions effectively.
• Excellent written English communication skills.

Experience

Applicants must have at least six years of relevant experience in estimating and preparing technical proposals, particularly in water/process and telecom, instrumentation, and control sectors. Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary tenders and combining supplier packages with installation cost evaluations is essential.
