Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical / Piping Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. This role involves designing and developing equipment layouts, piping specifications, and installation details to support various process-plant projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pump selection, piping hydraulics, and material compatibility, along with hands-on experience in process-plant mechanical and piping engineering.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing piping layouts and preparing detailed line lists that align with project specifications. You will select appropriate pumps, valves, and mechanical equipment based on process requirements and material compatibility. Preparing purchase specifications, conducting technical evaluations, and reviewing supplier drawings through the supply chain process will also be essential. Furthermore, you will coordinate piping supports, access, constructability, and assist with pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of piping hydraulics, pump selection, and material compatibility.
• Ability to interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and other piping design software, with Plant 3D experience being a plus.
• Good knowledge of project piping codes and technical English communication skills.

Experience

Applicants should have at least six years of hands-on experience in process-plant mechanical and piping engineering. Background experience with pumping systems, chemical dosing, or water and wastewater systems is required. Experience supporting construction and commissioning phases in industrial projects will be highly valued.
