Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer to manage sourcing and purchasing activities for telecom, instrumentation, control, and automation equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling procurement processes, including issuing requests for quotations, evaluating technical and commercial offers, coordinating with technical teams, and supporting procurement negotiations and order placements. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Engineer will oversee all procurement stages for instruments, analyzers, control panels, automation systems, and telecom/network devices. Primary duties include issuing RFQs, clarifying vendor proposals, compiling and analyzing commercial comparisons based on approved technical requirements, and facilitating technical evaluations alongside engineers. The role also requires expediting supplier documentation, tracking manufacturing progress, inspection, shipping, and delivery while maintaining accurate procurement records. Coordination with the Supply Chain Manager is essential throughout the process.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control, or Telecommunications Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in engineering procurement, with a minimum of 3 years focused on telecom, instrumentation, or control packages.
• Proven track record in sourcing industrial instruments, automation, or telecom equipment, including quotation analysis and order expediting.
• Ability to interpret datasheets, system architectures, and technical specifications.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and ERP systems to support procurement workflows.
• Excellent commercial understanding and effective communication skills in English when dealing with suppliers.
