Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Engineering and Technical Office Manager to lead our centralized engineering functions in Kuwait. This role involves managing multi-disciplinary teams focused on construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), water/process, telecom, instrumentation, and control (TIC). Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating engineering resources, overseeing design efforts, and ensuring technical excellence across projects.

Key Responsibilities

The manager will supervise discipline engineers, TIC and Process Leads, as well as the CAD/BIM teams. Responsibilities include assigning technical reviews to qualified experts, planning engineering resources and deliverables, coordinating design interface management, and tracking submissions, approvals, and revisions. The role also involves overseeing the preparation of design documents, shop drawings, vendor engineering reviews, and providing site technical support. Additionally, you will contribute to technical input during bidding processes and work closely with Project Directors and Supply Chain teams to support technical procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation/control, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• Proven ability in multidisciplinary engineering management, including design coordination, document control, resource allocation, and constructability evaluation.
• Experience managing coordination between civil/MEP, water/process, and TIC engineering disciplines, ensuring competent technical review processes.
• Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD), building information modeling (BIM), and engineering document management systems.
• Strong communication skills in English and effective client coordination capabilities.
• Project management certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience Requirements

Candidates must have at least 12 years of experience in engineering or technical office roles, including a minimum of 5 years in leadership positions managing multidisciplinary teams. Experience should include contractor-side engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects with exposure to both construction/MEP and industrial water/process or automation sectors. Demonstrated ability to coordinate specialist leads, vendor engineering efforts, and site technical support during commissioning phases is essential.
