Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Planning Engineer specialized in MEP and Civil projects with at least 15 years of experience working in the Gulf region. The ideal candidate will excel in planning, scheduling, and controlling large-scale construction projects, ensuring all activities progress smoothly and on time.

Key Responsibilities

The role requires the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project. You will monitor progress against baseline schedules, identify delays and risks, and coordinate extensively with project teams, subcontractors, and consultants. Regular preparation of progress reports and management dashboards is essential, along with contributing to recovery plans for schedule setbacks.

• Create and maintain baseline schedules covering Civil, MEP, and multidisciplinary construction activities.
• Track project progress and highlight variances to approved schedules.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and look-ahead schedules to support site operations.
• Assist in analyzing project delays and support Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Coordinate interfaces between MEP and Civil works to facilitate seamless project execution.
• Participate in progress meetings and provide expert planning insights.

Required Qualifications and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is required. Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience, with significant exposure to projects in the Gulf area. Experience with defence, military, or high-security projects is highly desirable, including familiarity with strict confidentiality and access procedures.

Additional Skills and Attributes

Knowledge in managing planning activities for secure military or defence facilities will be a strong advantage. The ability to identify critical path activities and develop mitigation strategies for delayed works is essential. Strong communication and coordination skills are necessary to liaise effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
