Job Overview

The Head of IT Applications Support plays a vital role in managing and overseeing the organization’s entire suite of business applications. This leadership position is responsible for developing and maintaining application portfolios for various departments while ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met for all end users across the company.

Key Responsibilities

The role demands a strategic approach to planning and evaluating application effectiveness, with a focus on improving system performance and aligning technology with business goals. The Head of Applications Support will lead the deployment and testing of new software, collaborating closely with analysts, designers, and system owners to ensure smooth integration and optimal functionality.

Additional duties include researching and recommending software products, coordinating feasibility studies, and acting as the liaison between the company and software suppliers to swiftly address and resolve any issues or emergencies.

In operations management, this position requires maintaining production systems, supervising system health checks, and overseeing penetration tests and code reviews. A strong emphasis is placed on working with network administrators, database administrators, and software engineers to assure the quality and reliability of applications, as well as educating end users through documentation and training sessions.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years in a technology-driven environment with extensive experience in Microsoft technologies.
• Proven leadership abilities, especially in managing cross-functional project teams and guiding ERP enterprise implementation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to deliver compelling presentations.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to enable effective stakeholder management.
• In-depth knowledge of SAMA and NCA regulatory frameworks and deployment compliance.
• Familiarity with various software development methodologies and programming languages.

Educational Requirements

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or related fields.
