Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Project Quality Engineer with extensive experience in quality assurance and quality control within large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. This role involves managing quality functions for diverse projects including civil engineering, MEP, and building construction, ensuring compliance with project quality management systems and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will lead QA/QC teams and oversee quality planning and implementation throughout project phases. Responsibilities include development and enforcement of Project Quality Management Systems (PQMS), preparation and management of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and inspection activities. They will handle non-conformance reports (NCR), scope of work reviews (SOR), corrective actions (CAR), root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Additionally, the role requires performing quality audits, monitoring quality performance through KPIs, coordinating with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors (TPI), and ensuring timely quality documentation and project closeout.

Required Skills and Expertise

• In-depth knowledge of Project Quality Management Systems and Integrated Management Systems (QMS/IMS) implementation
• Strong leadership of QA/QC teams and effective quality planning
• Experience with inspection management, including ITPs and method statements
• Proficiency in handling quality documentation such as NCRs, CARs, and CAPA processes
• Expertise in conducting quality audits and assuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards
• Capability to monitor quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with clients, consultants, and inspectors

Project Experience

The candidate should have a proven track record working on high-profile projects such as Saudi Electronic Components Company (SEC) projects, Ma’aden Aluminium projects, large infrastructure and mega projects, residential buildings, and interior fit-out projects.

Qualifications and Certifications

The role requires a strong educational background ideally with a Master’s degree in Construction and Engineering Management. Professional certifications such as ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, Level 3 QA/QC Civil Engineering certification, and Autodesk AutoCAD proficiency are highly desirable. Registration with the Saudi Council is a plus.
