Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Planning Engineer with a strong background in civil engineering to join our team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will bring at least 8 years of experience in construction project planning, preferably within a general contracting environment. This role demands a detail-oriented professional capable of developing project schedules, cost estimations, and comprehensive progress reporting to support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for preparing and managing project plans using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. You will also handle budget preparation, cost estimation for materials and resources, and the creation of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Additional duties include preparing monthly invoices and supporting bid proposals by preparing offers for new projects. A working knowledge of AutoCAD is essential to effectively collaborate with engineering and construction teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Planning Engineer, preferably within Saudi Arabia’s construction sector.
• Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for planning and scheduling.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for technical review and coordination.
• Strong budgeting and cost estimation skills.
• Excellent communication abilities, fluent in both Arabic and English.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Work Environment

This position is based in Jubail and involves working closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that all project objectives are met on time and within budget. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic construction environment.
