Job Overview

China Railway 18 Bureau is inviting applications for the position of Technical Low Current Engineer to join its construction team in Riyadh. This role demands a professional with deep expertise in Low Current and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems, particularly within high-rise buildings and luxury hotel environments. Candidates must demonstrate substantial hands-on experience and technical knowledge to support the successful delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

The selected engineer will oversee a range of technical responsibilities, including:

• Thorough review and coordination of Low Current/ELV drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, and related documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Supervising installation activities for systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, SMATV/IPTV, Public Address, Structured Cabling, and Intercom to maintain project standards.
• Evaluating material submittals, method statements, technical documents, and RFIs to validate suitability and compliance with project requirements.
• Collaborating across disciplines including Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Architectural, and other MEP teams to ensure cohesive project integration.
• Reviewing BIM models and coordination drawings, identifying and resolving technical clashes and obstacles efficiently.
• Monitoring installation processes to guarantee conformity with approved designs, project specifications, local regulations, and authority standards.
• Engaging with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to maintain smooth communication and project progression.
• Overseeing testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover phases for Low Current systems ensuring quality and functionality.
• Diagnosing technical challenges and delivering pragmatic engineering solutions promptly.
• Preparing comprehensive technical reports, inspection requests, as-built drawings, and project handover documentation.
• Tracking project timelines to ensure Low Current tasks meet scheduled milestones and quality benchmarks.

Required Skills and Experience

Applicants must have at least 10 years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on high-rise building projects and 4 or 5-star hotel developments. Importantly, a minimum of 80% of the candidate’s total professional experience must be connected to high-rise constructions. Candidates lacking verified experience in these areas will not be considered.
