Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Site Surveyor to join our construction team based in Bahrain. This role involves performing precise site measurements and layout tasks to ensure that construction activities adhere strictly to approved designs and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction surveying, with hands-on experience in setting out, leveling, and using advanced surveying instruments.

Key Responsibilities

The Site Surveyor will be responsible for carrying out detailed site surveys and establishing critical control points such as benchmarks and coordinates. Duties include setting out foundations, columns, slabs, roads, drainage systems, and other construction elements. The role also requires operating Total Station, Auto Level, GPS, and related survey tools to verify elevations, alignments, and site dimensions against project drawings.

Additional responsibilities include reading and interpreting architectural, structural, civil, and engineering plans, preparing comprehensive survey reports, field notes, and as-built data. Collaboration with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and various construction teams is essential to identify and resolve discrepancies between design documents and actual site conditions. Maintaining accurate records and the proper calibration and care of surveying equipment is also expected.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in construction surveying is required, especially with relevant hands-on knowledge using Total Station, Auto Level, and GPS equipment. Strong familiarity with site measurements, setting out, leveling, and control point establishment is essential.

Ability to interpret construction drawings clearly and a working knowledge of AutoCAD and survey data processing software is advantageous. Prior experience in surveying for villa, residential buildings, commercial, high-rise, or civil engineering projects will be highly regarded. Candidates with Bahrain or GCC experience, who are locally available and can join immediately, are preferred.
