Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join a dynamic sports industry client based in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for finance professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are looking to contribute to a reputable organization within the sports sector.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and payment preparation. You will ensure all vendor invoices are processed accurately through three-way matching (Purchase Order, Goods Receipt Note, and Invoice), prepare timely payment runs, and reconcile vendor statements to resolve any discrepancies. Monitoring accounts payable aging reports and maintaining precise records will be essential. Additionally, collaboration with the procurement team to address invoice and purchase order matters and supporting month-end closing activities by reconciling accounts payable with the general ledger will be part of your daily tasks.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles.
• Proficiency in Oracle Accounts Payable or SAP FI-AP systems.
• Strong understanding of the Procure-to-Pay cycle and thorough knowledge of three-way matching procedures.
• Excellent analytical abilities and strong skills in Excel.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively across departments.
