Job Overview

A reputable systems integration company in Qatar is seeking a meticulous BMS & ELV CAD Drafter and Estimation Support Assistant to join their engineering and operations team on a permanent full-time basis. This role is ideal for professionals with 2 to 4 years of experience who excel in drafting and supporting estimation activities related to Building Management Systems (BMS) and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves preparing detailed shop drawings and technical documents for a variety of ELV systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intercom, Network/Wi-Fi, Public Address (PA), Home Automation, and BMS technologies. You will develop As-Built drawings from site markups and collaborate closely with engineers and architects to resolve design issues.

In addition, this position supports the estimation team by extracting accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material takeoffs from tender documents, assisting in supplier pricing reviews, and preparing organized estimation sheets with clear cost breakdowns. Managing and archiving both hard copy and digital documentation such as drawings, datasheets, and approvals also forms a crucial part of the job.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) is essential for producing detailed and accurate drawings.
• Strong familiarity with ELV systems, Home Automation protocols, and BMS architectures is required to ensure precise design and estimation.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel for handling BOQs, cost sheets, and detailed takeoffs.
• At least 2 years of prior drafting experience within an ELV or systems integration company.
• Exceptional attention to detail, along with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Employment Details

This is a full-time permanent position based in Qatar. Candidates must hold a valid Qatar ID (QID) and No Objection Certificate (NOC) to be eligible for this role.
