Hamofy Trading & Contracting W.L.L., based in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a skilled Pump Technician to join their engineering team. This role requires hands-on experience in maintaining, repairing, and overhauling various types of pumps and motors. The ideal candidate will possess the technical expertise necessary to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance effectively, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of pumping systems.

Key Responsibilities

The Pump Technician will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, diagnosing faults, and carrying out repairs on motors and pumps, including centrifugal pumps, condenser pumps, and FCU fan motors. In addition to maintenance tasks, the technician must be proficient in motor rewinding and motor overhauls, ensuring that equipment meets safety and quality standards. Routine preventive maintenance and timely troubleshooting are essential components of this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in pump and motor maintenance
• Strong knowledge of motor and pump overhauling techniques
• Experience in motor rewinding is an added advantage
• Familiarity with various types of motors and pumps
• Understanding of centrifugal pumps, condenser pumps, and FCU fan motors
• Ability to conduct preventive maintenance and accurate troubleshooting
• Diploma or ITI certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred
• Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining high-quality work standards
• Immediate availability is a plus
