Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our dynamic team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and finance, with a strong focus on VAT and tax compliance specific to Bahrain’s regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, including VAT returns, invoicing, payroll processing, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role also involves ensuring full compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations such as VAT and the National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting and finance roles
• In-depth understanding of VAT regulations and NBR requirements in Bahrain
• Hands-on experience preparing VAT returns, invoicing, and handling tax compliance
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices, reconciliations, payroll processes, and financial reporting
• Familiarity with compliance requirements related to GOSI, LMRA, and other local authorities is advantageous
• Ability to work independently with great attention to detail
