Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a major buildings and infrastructure project based in Lusail, Qatar. This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension. The role focuses on overseeing HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems installations while ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supervising on-site installations of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting equipment. Key tasks include coordinating MEP activities, managing installation of chillers, VRF systems, fan coil units, split AC units, cooling towers, and exhaust fans. The engineer will also ensure alignment with project specifications and standards.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical engineering related to HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with chillers, VRF, FCU, split units, cooling towers, and exhaust fans
• Proficiency in MEP coordination and site supervision
• Familiarity with QCS 2014, Qatar Civil Defence standards, ASHRAE, and SMACNA guidelines
• Experience using HAP and Elite software is preferred
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and demonstrate relevant experience in similar roles. Knowledge of local codes and regulations in Qatar is essential to ensure proper compliance and safety standards.
