Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Engineer with extensive experience in site construction, specifically within the Oil & Gas and LNG sectors. This role is based in Qatar and is a local hire opportunity initially for a three-month period, with the possibility of extension. Freelancers and immediate joiners are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

The Instrument Engineer will take a leading role in managing instrumentation construction activities on site. This includes overseeing the demolition, modification, installation, and reinstatement of instrument systems. You will be responsible for supervising the installation of instrument tubing, impulse lines, fittings, valves, manifolds, supports, and various instrument devices.

Strong coordination with multiple teams such as Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, QA/QC, HSE, and Operations is essential to ensure smooth project execution. You will also ensure strict adherence to QELNG and company procedures, including health, safety, and environmental protocols as well as permit to work (PTW) requirements.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Control Engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in instrumentation within the Oil & Gas or LNG construction environment is mandatory.

Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of instrumentation installation related to tubing, impulse lines, valves, and associated systems. Familiarity with QELNG site procedures, including valid Ex-QELNG status, HSE standards, QA/QC processes, and construction protocols, is strongly preferred. Immediate availability will be considered an advantage.
