Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welding Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our team for an onshore and offshore pipeline project in the oil and gas sector. This role demands significant experience in welding inspection and quality assurance to ensure compliance with industry standards across pipeline construction and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

The Welding QC Inspector will be responsible for overseeing all welding activities on-site, ensuring production adherence to approved welding procedures (WPS/PQR), conducting thorough inspections, and monitoring non-destructive testing (NDT) operations. The role involves verifying compliance with inspection test plans (ITP), reviewing requests for inspection (RFI), and supervising welding quality both in the field and production environment.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in welding inspection techniques including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and Pin Brazing
• Expertise in WPS/PQR, ITP, RFI documentation, and NDT activities
• Extensive knowledge of international welding codes and standards such as AWS, ASME, API, ASTM, BS EN, and DNV
• Certification in CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 or AWS welding inspection standards
• Level II certification in Non-Destructive Testing methods including Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT)
• Experienced in pipeline welding inspection and production monitoring

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry
• At least 6 years working within onshore and offshore pipeline projects

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with knowledge or experience in Corrosion Resistant Alloy (CRA) pipeline welding and mechanized or automatic welding processes will be highly regarded.
