Job Overview

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Account Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our team immediately. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage daily financial transactions and support overall accounting functions using Zoho Books software. The position is open to local hires with a salary ranging from BD180 to BD250.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions and keep accurate financial records up to date.
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely billing and payments.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Assist with monthly and annual closing activities, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Generate financial reports and organize supporting documentation as required.
• Maintain petty cash and track expenses diligently.
• Support VAT, tax filing, and other compliance reporting obligations.
• Keep proper filing systems for all financial documents and records.
• Collaborate with auditors by providing necessary documents during audits.
• Ensure all accounting activities adhere to company policies and accounting standards.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with accounting software, specifically Zoho Books.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple financial tasks accurately and promptly.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with auditors and team members.
• Basic understanding of VAT and tax compliance procedures.
