Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Landscaping Inspector to join a major construction project team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscaping quality control within large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects, preferably with experience working alongside Saudi Aramco, SABIC, or SEC.
Key Responsibilities
The Landscaping Inspector will be responsible for overseeing and verifying all landscaping work, including both softscape and hardscape elements such as planting, irrigation, paving, and external site finishes. This role requires ensuring that all work complies with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and applicable industry standards.
Additional duties include inspecting delivered materials to confirm they meet approved submittals, conducting thorough site inspections, preparing inspection requests and quality checklists, and documenting findings. The incumbent is also tasked with identifying and managing non-conformance issues, coordinating corrective actions, and ensuring the closure of non-conformance reports (NCRs). Close collaboration with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project engineers is essential to uphold quality standards and support project handover tasks, including snagging and punch lists.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least six years of hands-on experience in landscaping inspection within construction or industrial projects.
- Prior experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia is mandatory, with preferred exposure to Saudi Aramco, SABIC, or SEC industrial or infrastructure developments.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related discipline.
- Comprehensive understanding of both softscape and hardscape elements, along with QA/QC procedures, inspection requests, and material inspections.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and method statements accurately.
- Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Saudi Aramco, SABIC, or SEC approval or previous experience with their approval processes is considered a strong advantage.
- Holding a valid Saudi driving license is beneficial.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Applicants who are currently based in Saudi Arabia with transferable Iqama and documented experience on Aramco, SABIC, or SEC projects are highly preferred.
