Job Overview

Nextbridge Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join their team at one of the company’s offices located in Johar Town, Lahore. This role demands a strong background in SQL Server administration along with effective communication skills to collaborate with clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing database systems to ensure their reliability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

The Database Administrator will be accountable for a broad range of tasks essential for smooth database operations. These include routine database health checks, incident management and escalation, capacity planning, system monitoring, and overseeing backup and recovery processes. The role also involves managing database releases, deployments, migrations, performance tuning, licensing compliance, and maintaining database security.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Proven experience in SQL Server database administration, ideally between 3 to 6 years post-graduation.
• A solid understanding of Windows and Azure Active Directory environments.
• Familiarity with SQL Server authentication mechanisms, including principals, server and database-level roles, and permission management.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to database maintenance and issue resolution.
• Effective communication abilities to engage with clients and collaborate with team members.
• Knowledge of Oracle database administration is considered an advantage.

Educational Requirements

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
