Job Overview
TGC is inviting skilled engineering and technical experts to join their team supporting industrial decommissioning projects in Saudi Arabia. These projects involve piping removal, cold cutting, heavy lifting, material handling, and transportation, primarily within oil & gas and petrochemical sectors. The company is looking for professionals with solid field experience who can develop comprehensive method statements, engineering drawings, lifting plans, and HSE documentation aligned with industry standards.
Available Positions and Responsibilities
TGC is currently hiring for the following key roles:
- Senior Mechanical / Piping Method Engineer: Responsibilities include designing method statements and work sequence drawings, planning piping removal and cold cutting operations, interpreting P&ID, isometric, and GA drawings, and coordinating isolation, cutting, lifting, and handling activities on-site.
- Lifting Engineer / Appointed Person: Develop engineered lift plans and studies, perform load weight and center of gravity calculations, select cranes and rigging equipment, and create detailed lifting and loading drawings. Experience with lifting pipes and structural components on flatbed trailers is essential.
- HSE Engineer: Prepare HSE plans, conduct risk assessments, develop JSA/JHA documents, manage permit to work processes, line of fire controls, and emergency response procedures. Expertise in cold cutting safety, heavy lifting, material handling, and mobile equipment safety is required.
- Senior CAD / BIM Technical Draftsman: Utilize advanced AutoCAD skills to produce method drawings, site layouts, piping removal plans, lifting and rigging schematics, construction sequences, and convert field surveys and photographs into accurate technical drawings for client approval.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant disciplines for engineering roles.
- Between 5 to 10 years of practical experience in industrial, oil & gas, or petrochemical projects, with a focus on decommissioning, shutdowns, piping, and heavy lifting.
- Strong capability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and produce technical documentation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering software as applicable to the position.
- Excellent technical English communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with Saudi Aramco or major regional oil & gas projects is highly advantageous.
Preferred Certifications
Certifications that will enhance candidacy include NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, Lifting & Rigging qualifications, Appointed Person or Lifting Supervisor credentials, PTW, LOTO, H2S Awareness, and Authorized Gas Tester. Equivalent internationally recognized certifications are also welcomed.
