Job Overview
ZACO Gulf Engineering is seeking an experienced Lifting Safety Supervisor to join their team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This long-term position requires immediate mobilization and focuses on ensuring safe and compliant lifting operations within industrial construction projects. The role involves supervising rigging procedures, inspecting equipment, and collaborating with multiple teams to uphold safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all lifting safety activities to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and approved procedures.
- Supervise lifting and rigging operations on site, ensuring proper execution and safety.
- Conduct regular inspections of cranes, lifting equipment, slings, shackles, and rigging gear for integrity and safety.
- Review and validate Lift Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments to guarantee thorough preparation and hazard mitigation.
- Participate actively in Critical Lift reviews and planning meetings to support safe and efficient project completion.
- Exercise Stop Work Authority immediately if unsafe conditions or practices are observed, prioritizing workplace safety.
- Coordinate efforts with Construction teams, HSE personnel, lifting crews, and riggers to maintain seamless operations.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in lifting safety supervision within EPC, oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial construction environments.
- Proven ability to manage and supervise rigging operations effectively.
- Familiarity with safety standards and operational requirements in major industrial projects.
- English communication skills sufficient for reporting and coordination.
Qualifications and Certification
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical training specifically related to lifting and rigging operations.
- Possession of an Aramco Approved Rigger II certification or higher is mandatory.
- Experience working on Saudi Aramco, SATROP, ADNOC, or similar major industrial projects is highly advantageous.
