Job Overview

We are seeking a diligent Procurement Supervisor with 4 to 5 years of proven experience specifically in restaurant procurement. This role plays a pivotal part in managing the purchase and supply chain of food, beverages, packaging, and related supplies to ensure smooth restaurant operations while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Supervisor will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating vendors, negotiating prices, and managing purchase orders in line with business needs. Planning procurement according to menu demand, sales forecasts, and current inventory forms a core responsibility. The role includes maintaining optimum stock levels, ensuring timely deliveries, and coordinating receipt and inspection of goods.

Collaboration with the head chef and management is essential to align purchasing with menu changes and seasonal requirements. Additionally, this position oversees vendor compliance, maintains procurement records, and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 4 to 5 years of procurement experience within a restaurant environment
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Ability to maintain inventory control and manage reorder points effectively
• Experience with procurement software and inventory management tools
• Knowledge of food safety and quality standards
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Capability to analyze procurement data, spending, and variances to support cost control

Additional Responsibilities

The candidate will also be tasked with monitoring supplier performance, managing returns and replacements for discrepancies, and developing contingency plans to prevent supply disruptions. Accurate record keeping and continuous improvement of purchasing protocols to align with operational goals are vital.
