Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a qualified Medical Equipment Engineer to join a healthcare facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Preferably, candidates from the Philippines with expertise in biomedical or clinical engineering are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety and optimal functionality of medical devices through installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration activities, utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Key Responsibilities

The Medical Equipment Engineer will manage the complete lifecycle of medical equipment within the facility. This includes conducting incoming inspections, installing and commissioning new technologies, as well as performing planned preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on both newly installed and existing equipment. Calibration tasks will be carried out to assure accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards.

Additional duties include diagnosing equipment malfunctions using specialized diagnostic tools, maintaining detailed service records within the CMMS, participating in quality assurance rounds to ensure equipment safety, and addressing user concerns promptly. The engineer will also respond to emergency repair requests and manage spare parts inventory to ensure minimal downtime and consistent availability of critical equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in medical equipment installation, maintenance, and repairs, either locally or internationally.
• Proficiency in both Arabic and English for effective business communication.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and expertise in using CMMS to track and report maintenance activities.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities and ability to work independently in high-pressure situations.

Work Environment

This role involves working within healthcare settings, requiring strict adherence to health and safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines. The engineer should be prepared to participate in on-call schedules for urgent equipment repairs outside normal working hours.
